The Beginning Before the Beginning

Revelation: The Beginning Before the Beginning

What Happened Before the Beginning Recorded in Genesis?

Most people begin the story of creation with Genesis.

God revealed to me that there was a beginning before the beginning – spiritual events that preceded the natural-world account we read in Genesis.

I know this teaching will challenge what many have previously understood. I am not asking you simply to accept my words.

Examine what I am presenting. Examine the Scriptures. And take it to God in prayer.

The First Beginning

Before anything in the universe existed, the LORD God Almighty lived.

Nothing existed before Him. Nothing was created until He created it.

God created angelic beings who served Him and existed within the peaceful order He established.

Among those beings was Lucifer.

God revealed to me that Lucifer became filled with pride and selfishness. He wanted greater power. He wanted control. Ultimately, he wanted to be God.

But pride was not the only issue God revealed to me.

Jealousy was also involved.

According to the revelation God gave me, Lucifer was jealous of the relationship between the LORD God and the Holy Ghost. His rebellion eventually grew into an attempt to overturn God’s established order, and he recruited other angelic beings to join him.

This resulted in a spiritual battle – the battle I describe in A Call From God for Change as occurring “in the beginning before the beginning.”

God Almighty won the battle.

Lucifer and the angels who followed him were defeated.

The book explains this as the spiritual background preceding what I call the Second Beginning – the beginning presented to us in Genesis.

The Second Beginning

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
~ Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

God revealed to me that Genesis 1 records more than the creation of the natural world.

It also reveals the aftermath of that earlier spiritual conflict.

When Genesis speaks of darkness, the deep, waters, light, separation and the firmament, God gave me an understanding of these passages in relation to what had already occurred in the spiritual world.

The revelation I received teaches that after Lucifer’s defeat, God still demonstrated His authority as God of all creation.

God separated light from darkness.

He divided the waters.

And He established boundaries.

The book develops this revelation through Genesis 1 line by line and connects it directly to what follows in the next revelation concerning the sea.

Why Does This Matter?

This is not simply a teaching about events long ago.

Understanding The Beginning Before the Beginning provides the foundation for understanding several other revelations God gave me.

It begins to explain:

Lucifer’s rebellion.
The spiritual battle between good and evil.
The relationship of the Holy Ghost to God.
The significance of the sea.
Satan’s hatred of woman.
And events surrounding Adam and Eve.

These revelations are connected.

That is why I ask you not to isolate one statement from everything else God showed me.

Examine the Scripture

One of the passages I ask readers to examine is Proverbs 8:22–33 (KJV).

The passage speaks of one who was with the LORD before the earth, before the depths, before the mountains and before the fields—and who was with Him when He established the heavens and gave the sea its decree.

In A Call From God for Change, I explain what God revealed to me concerning this passage and its relationship to Wisdom and the Holy Ghost.

That teaching becomes even more important as these revelations unfold.

Examine What You Think You Know

Jesus said:

“…If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?”
~ John 3:12 (KJV)

So I ask you to examine rather than immediately reject something because it differs from what you have previously been taught.

What if there is more to the beginning than you have understood?

What if Genesis is revealing something about the spiritual world that you have never recognized?

And most importantly:

Are You Willing to Ask God?

Do not rely solely upon me.

Do not rely solely upon what you have always been told.

Read the Scriptures.

Pray.

Seek the face of God.

Ask Him for understanding.
